Chicken curry with coconut milk

spicy chicken curry




Ingredients


chicken                    1/4 kg
oil                             2 spoons
onion                        1
green chillies            3
ginger garlic paste   1/2 spoon
mint leaves               some
turmeric                    1/4 spoon
salt                             to taste
red chillie powder     1 spoon
curd                           1 spoon
lemon juice                1/2 spoon
cloves                        3
elachi                        1
cinnamon                  small piece
coriander seeds         1 spoon
poppy seeds              1 spoon
cashew nut                4
coconut                     1cup pieces
coriander leaves        some



Preparation


wash the chicken 3 to 4 time with plenty of water .
completly drain the water from chicken.Then marinate the chicken.


chicken marination : 

 add turmeric ,red chillie powder,salt,curd,lemon juice and ginger garlic paste to chicken pieces and mix all very well.keep for 30 minutes.
cut onions and green chillies into pieces.
wash mint leaves.keep it aside.

add cloves,elachi,coriander,poppy seeds in mixie jar and make fine powder.then add cashew nuts and make powder .we should  grind until poppy seeds to became fine powder.add some water and make fine paste of garam masala.


Method


1.heat oil in a pan.
2.after heating the oil add finely chopped onion and green chillies.
3.fry the onion pieces until they turn into light brown colour. 
4. then add mint leaves  and fry for 2 minutes.
5.add marinated chicken and stir well.keep the lid and cook for some time.
6.after some time the curry became watery even not adding water in the curry.that  water is coming out from the chicken.this water is having some smell.so we should cook the chicken until this water is completly evaporated.
7.when  water  in the curry  completly evaporated,add grinded masala paste.mix masala paste to apply the chicken pieces. cook for 5 minutes.
7. add coconut milk and cook until when the oil is coming out from the  curry.
8.finally add coriander leaves.put off the flame.serve hot.


Keep in the mind


If you think coconut  milk gives high calorie then you can  add water instead of coconut milk.But adding coconut  milk gives extra taste to the curry.Children also like to eat this type of preparation.
Chicken is gives healthy proteins and helps to build the muscles.
